As summer approaches, so we all look for tunes that make us feel warm and gooey. Well look no further, because this new EP from Terrace on the label of the same name does just that – it is a blissful collection of poppy beats that will have you dream of laying flat and soaking up the rays.
The six originals all deal in similar vibes – smooth, free flowing beats, minimal percussion and warm, sun kissed chords. The vocals are super airy and effortless, and extend off into the sky like a wispy cloud on a steamy day. Some are designed for the dance floor like TriBeCa, and some are more downbeat and sombre like SoHo Grand.
Then come two remixes that really offer something different. First up dance legend The Juan MacLean reworks Picture Perfect. It is a classic deep house cut with nice chords, well treated vocals and drums that pop and make you move. Then LUXXURY remixes TriBeCa into something super laid back and colourful, with sunny chords and frazzled pads all making you feel the warmth of the suns rays. Foundation
