Serge Gainsbourg often gets characterised by the more salacious and risqué songs but this one is full of genuine devotion and feeling.

We had the album this song comes from ‘Les Mysteres des Voix Bulgaires’ in my house growing up and this was a big favourite, full of incredible and unexpected harmonies.
