TDV20, held a couple weeks ago in Birmingham saw the who’s who of the 90’s Hard scene all turn out to pay maximum hommage to one of the greatest DJs of our time. Hot on the heels of this landmark event comes an incredibly well-delivered remix package of one of Tony’s most prolific releases to date, ‘The Dawn’. Here we are treated to a fresh set of mixes from a carefully selected roster of artists, artists that actually knew Tony and were massively influenced by his sound, ethos and infectious personality during the 90s. This of course comes across in each mix and you really do get a sense that everyone has gone the extra mile to do Tony proud. My personal favourites are Nicholson’s piano-laced uplifting-trancer and Phutek’s chunky Techno rework. There is also a fantastic House cut from Kydus, an authentic and bangin’ Hard Houser from Paul ‘F1’ King and a chilled-out instrumental from Paul Chambers. It’s simply amazing to see TDV crashing charts and playlists once again. Go grab these and play them loud!
