Tube & Berger’s second album is a polished affair. Mixing tough house beats with an array of vocal guest slots, it further establishes them as a powerful blend of savvy pop-rock vocals and solid, four to the floor beats. The vocals on ‘Quiet Time’ are particularly good, White Lies drafted in for an excellent song that hits hard emotionally too. ‘We Are All Stars’ is reminiscent of peak time Moby, and has a really catchy hook, while ‘Dust Feel’ and the strong opener ‘Burning Road’ are both moody numbers. The baby noises on ‘Loyando’ won’t be to everyone’s taste, but they show the willingness of the duo to push the boat out a bit, bringing spontaneity to their otherwise polished sound.
