Peter Major alias Opolopo from Sweden has had an impressive career pushing the funky but peaktime affordable House sound to further limits. His recent releases for Joey Negro’s Z Records and remix work for key artists like Change, Kraak & Smaak or Spencer Morales have cemented him a place in the crème de la crème of international House & Disco artists. This fact probably caught the attention of Toolroom label head Mark Knight who has signed the mighty Swede to mix the 2019 edition of the successful ‘Poolside Ibiza’ series. Of course the term ‘Poolside’ can mean anything and is used quite frequently for any kind of House music but here it is a good move from Toolroom in my point of view, to really take the right step towards music this term originally stands for. This is not a compilation for 3AM ‘Hands in the air Tech House’, it is a perfect warmup funky House selection with tracks and remixes from Fouk, Kenny Summit, Atjazz, Rhemi, Simbad or Moon Rocket & Re-Tide. AND as a bonus four brand new tracks from Opolopo himself are included, which if the other artists wouldn’t be enough argument for a purchase, should make it easier for you to be sure you have a huge compilation for the ongoing summer season in your hands!
