Trainspotting – DJ Schwa

The big tunes from the big players…

1. Medlar – Teller (DJ SchWolf Music)
Loving Medlar at the moment and also Wolf Music’s vinyl only approach. This track is a pure deep disco bomb with classic house feeling.

2. Jaded & James Petrou – Toni’s Pain (Beef records)
Debut EP from a talented australian duo. The whole package with Inxec and No Artificial Colours remixes is great.

3. Brussels Pony Club – Brussels Piano Club EP (Lift Head Up)
This one I got from a friend from Belgium who was visiting Prague. He said that this record represents the local sound. If that’s truth I am moving over there 🙂

4. Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt – Ours (We Love This)
Disco meets house in the hand stamped red vinyl. Big thanks goes to Pepi from Sklenick. Without him I would never find this amazing EP.

5. Hardrive – Deep Inside (Pearson Sound Remix) NSWL007
Amazing remix of this classic. Finally someone who didn’t do cheesy house edit. This one melts boundaries between dubstep and house music.

6. Monty Luke – Bomb on Bomb (Full Flavour Music)
Apparently this guy works with Carl Craig at the Planet E office. I can hear bit of an “influence”. Haha 🙂 Great peak time track. Acid is back.

7. DJ Schwa & Alex Neivel – Percolator feat. David Bowles (Large Music)
One of those tracks that got started by really wasted friends at an afterparty. Tribute to Cajmere. This always works!

8. Shades Of Gray – Do This feat Rodney O (Lost My Dog)
This one was written in Sydney last year. Almost forgot about it but then it got signed to LMD and did really well. I love playing this one out. Simple music with twisted vocals.

9. Social Disco Club – Who made this Jack (We Play House)
Classic records that never leaves my bag! Who made this Jack?

10. Citizen Kain – Acid Love (Reblok and Mass Digital remix)
Acid bassline, old school percussion and warm pads. What else do you need? Reblok is on fire!

Alex Neivel & DJ Schwa (Shades of Gray)
Le Clan EP

Legendary Chicago house label Large Music team up with the talented Czech duo of Alex Neivel & DJ Schwa (Shades of Gray) for a superb EP that includes a superb remake of the Cajmere classic ‘The Percolator’…
Chicago’s Large Music has been a powerhouse in electronic music for almost two decades, working with legends such as Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer & Roy Davis Jnr to name but a few and with outstanding recent records from Scope and Nathan G the much-loved label has shown it still very much has its finger on the pulse of underground house music.
Here Large teams up with DJ Schwa from Shades of Gray and Prague-based DJ and producer Alex Neivel for a superb new single that is set to be one of the big records of the summer. DJ Schwa has been on the Large Music radar for months now with his recent outings under the Shades of Gray moniker (with partner Nick West) and the label are honoured to have his Large debut alongside the talented Mr.Neivel.
‘Le Clan Ep’ kicks off with ‘Percolator’, a re-interpretation of the legendary 1992 house cut from Cajmere, who has given his blessing for the release of this unique new version. Alex and Schwa have enlisted vocalist David Bowles to create a dramatic “Prague-meets-Chicago” tribute to this timeless classic and in the process have delivered a record that is certain to set dancefloors alight this summer.
The EP is completed with two further sonic delights: the groovy bounce of “Anything You Like” and the darker, edgier title track, “Le Clan” both of which showcase the production talents of these well respected DJ/producers.
