A slow-mo piano monster, full of harmonies so thick you could cut them with a knife. I’ve been rocking this on the iPod while walking the dog this week, it’s beautiful with the sunrise!

Lovely track out as part of Freerange’s celebrations to mark 200 releases. One of those sleazy 4am trips that Jimpster and Freerange do so well!

The lead single from my forthcoming album The Root, The Soul. Full of summer vibes, so perfect for the first show of Spring that London’s seen this week!
Harry Wolfman – Diagonal Galleon, Lost My Dog
New one on our label from Purp & Soul man Harry Wolfman. All spaced out, loopy disco. Reminds me of Inland Knights’ classic Slummin It!
Brame & Hamo – Hotshot, Heist Recordings
I hadn’t heard of these guys before, but I will be keeping an eye out for them now. Crisp and simple 4-to-the-floor beats with a fairly understated disco loop… one to fill the dancefloor!
Nachtbraker – Zachtjes, Hudd Trax
Deep as they come, there’s a great shuffle in this one – especially when the live drums come in. It’s great to see Eddie Leader’s label still up and running, and moving with the times. They always hit the quality mark.
The Revenge – Just One Touch, Roar Groove
Lovely stuff from The Revenge, a simple groove that writhes and wriggles over some great drum programming.
Ruede Hagelstein – Life Is A Beach, Watergate
Sounds like a UFO crash landing in Ibiza. Some demented synths over a too-cool-for-school Berlin beat.
YSE – Black Love
An off-kilter, shuffling little thing by my old mate Ant, one of the most gifted producers around in my opinion. Sounds a bit like it was made in Detroit, but I don’t think Ant’s ever left Matlock.
Ruben Mandolini – Also!, Snatch! Records
You’ll recognise the vocal sample, nicely reworked into a peak-time NYC workout. I wonder if they cleared it!
