Trainspotting with Wheeler del Torro

1. Jovonn, Cassio Ware & Louie Vega – Turning Me Out – Vega Records

This gem is a solid piece which demands the respect of my dance floor, it’s a true soulful mover and shaker.

2. Crystal Waters & DJ Spen – Party People (DJ Spen & MicFreak Mix) – Unquantize

The dance floor diva returns with a hot track that’s armed with a funky bassline and vocals that create an upbeat atmosphere for the true party goer. A guaranteed floor filler.

3. Doug Gomez and Benjy – Alma Y Tambor – Mercumbe Records.

This smoker has the right amount of Latin fill to keep the floors shaking with stunning percussive rhythms and some enchanting piano work.

4. Wheeler del Torro ft. Sidney Washington – If Only You Could See Me (Coflo remix) – Dog Day Recordings

The first release form my new label and I’m very proud of it. This deep and dark venture tells a story of the heart of a woman looking to be seen and loved whilst simultaneously being caught up in her true love, music. Coflo’s thumping bassline and kicking beat set the tone for this floor shaker.

5. MoBlack, M. Caporale – Afra – Djoon Experience

This comes with a deep hypnotic afro groove where emotive African voices dance around earthy percussive beats. This is one for the dancers.

6. Koffee Paige The First Floetress Ft Hippie Torrales – Funk Formula (Jose Burgos Afro Mix) –  What Is Hip Records.

A funky groove coupled with the militant voice of The First Floetress will have the dance floor losing it with that punchy bass and sick drum beat.

7. Emmaculate ft Carla Prather – Never Fall In Love With A DJ – Nervous Records.

The driving soulful force of Carla Prather on vocals, set to a hot stomping beat, has all the right ingredients to make your body move.

8. The Power Of Three ft Vanessa Freeman and Atjazz –  The Time Is Coming (Atjazz Love Soul mix) – Expressive Records.

The lush vocals of UK vocal songstress Vanessa Freeman and the added Atjazz twist make this an instant afro house gem.

9. Dennis Ferrer ft Balo Belo – Dem People Go – King Street Sounds.

This classic for the masses carries a strong and poignant message, with a sound that reminds me of Fela Kuti’s Truth Don’t Die. I just love this!

10. The Culture Detectives ft. Dj Kinfolks – The Merchant – Dog Day Recordings

This afro house cut is a deep in more ways than one, boasting rich historical content, bringing to life a poem from Juan Francisco Manzano, who was born into slavery in 1840.

Wheeler del Torro ft. Sidney Washington  ‘If Only You Could See Me’ (Coflo Remix) will be released on Traxsource promo on June 19th 2020 on Dog Day Recordings.
