Amnesia is one of the most famous clubs in the world, and once again this summer it has been packed out every night of the week with a variety of different promotions all taking charge. For anyone who can’t get there, though, the club kindly offer up his new compilation which features two CDs mixed by regal guests to the club.
Although both take different paths, they are both stuffed with the sort of sounds you can expect at the iconic club on any given night. Basically those suds include many different shades of house and tech from early warm up to more pumping and peak time.
The first disc is taken care of by POPOF, a French artist who runs his own label as well as working with the best in the game. His disc is the more subtle of the two to start with,. He kicks off with a cut by minimal master Herbert and then works through slick grooves from names like Sven Tasnadi and Juliche Hernandez. Its technically tight and well sequenced with slick selections really getting you up on your toes. From warm and driving drums to spaced out vocals and later on some more tripped out fare, it makes for a great journey.
The second CD is served up by the hands of Italian Luca Donzelli, who plays HYTE on a regular basis so is well versed in what it takes to get this vast club moving and shaking. His mix is 75 minutes of more drum lead and physical beats that really make you sweat. Carlo, Burnski, Sable Sheep and Alexis Raphael all get reached for an add up to one high impact mix.
As such this is a great way to get that famous Amnesia experience right from the comfort of your car or living room.
