Back To Mine with Full Intention and Paul Harris

1. Shura – Indecision

I’m not looking at a party for my 5 songs, I’m looking for straight up killer (and newish) songs.
Big Fan of Shura, everything she has put out so far has been so good, great productions,  great songs and have such a good feel to them.
Indecision is my favourite of her releases to date, it has touches of a modern day Madonna’s holiday to me, and I guess thats what grabbed me, a star to be !.

2. Bob Moses – Tearing Me Up

Yes a very obvious choice, but Steve from Dirty Vegas got me onto BM very very early on, so I’m not new to them, and have had a few of these songs on repeat all summer. The album is great but personally I’m a fan of 3-4 songs on it , Tearing Me Up without a doubt is my favourite, this is new balerica for me.  ”Like It Or Not” also is a favourite with it’s radiohead esq chord progressions, it certainly seems’ to have been a great year for BM.

3. Mansionair – Hold me Down / Speak Easy

Here’s another band that I’m a fan of, again it’s indie, it’s Baleric, all these records set a scene and a mood, and they have something about them.
I think I picked up on them from a ‘Sound You Need’ album, and then bought everything they had done. listen to the Blissed out west coat vibes on Hold Me Down and your be converted.

4. NEIKED – Sexual

This is the power of Spotify , this record has been around for a little while , but now its being added to all the spotty play list’s and racking up millions of plays , and now finally getting chased by the majors. What ever people say about Spotify , it’s become the main source for people finding new music , and it’s where i found this , and it’s where labels are looking to sign records from. It’s a simple prodution , cool Vocal and a killer hook it ticks all the boxes for me  , fill it under a more up beat ’Tove Lo – Cool Girl’.

5.The Bird and the Bee – I Can’t Go For That.

One half of Bird and the Bee is super producer Greg Kurstin, they have made an album that’s covered Hall & Oates and my favourite on it being ‘I Can’t Go For That’. It’s been re-made a few times and sampled by De La soul but this version gives it a cool and kooky twist as only Kurstin can, the sort of music thats made for fashion shows.

6. M83 – Kim & Jessie

Anthemic but chilled, never leaves the car.

7. Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway – Back Together Again

This brings back happy summer 80’s memories. Pure class.

8. St Lucia – Elevate

Love the bass line and the chorus is so uplifting

9. Holland-Dozier-Holland – Why Can’t We Be Lovers

Its all about the bridge into the chorus. Hairs on the back of the neck moment.

10. Phantogram – Fall In Love

This is the most amazing way to cut up a record with a fantastic song written on top.
Edgy and cool.
