The story of US House star Lenny Fontana’s new jam ‘I Feel So Excited’ is told quite quickly: Beside sitting in the front row watching the 20th re-invention of the iconic act, this release shows, that Fontana is always ready to walk the way back to his roots when he started out. Funk and Disco were dominating all over the US at that time and although mostly credited for his Garage releases, he has always adored Disco and executed it quite impressively (think of the Loleatta Holloway sampling ‘Chocolate Sensation’ or the Duane Harden vocalised ‘What You Need’). Don`t expect another classic anthem here though, but what you can expect is a strong groove built around a very catchy Disco loop, some serious bass and a solid voice (the fact that there is no featured artist makes me think it may be AI) which altogether lead to a very nice piece of contemporary Disco music. My personal fave is the Dub with less voice and more groove, all in all this track is proof of Lenny Fontana’s standing within our scene. Watch him fly-for the 21st time.
