Exeter based Functional Breaks return with a sampler from their forthcoming mix album, mixed by Dreadzone. The boys themselves turn in a typically dub styled roller in the form of “Booty Line” which marries funk guitar licks, deep pads and analogue stabs before going all lush and “hands in the air”. An-ten-ae & Bass Nectar’s “California Sunshine” continues the melodic dub theme, but is a bit more “nu-skool” with a reece bassline for the heads down brigade.
