Slovenia’s Vestax joins the Rhythm Convert collective headed by Marco Bailey, Tom Hades and Redhead, who’ve had a belting year. ‘Becvez’ tweaks the waistband of the collective pants as a sparse galloper with requisite stabs, while ‘Looperman’s Friends’ peels off a similar attack pattern with tribal injections. ‘Pizza Te Redi’ takes an effective diversion by introducing a breakbeat pattern reminiscent of Underworld’s ‘Pearl’s Girl’, which itself resembled an early drum ‘n’ bass mutant. Solid debut.
