RESIN

Without being particularly prolific or ‘in-yer-face’, Resin have quietly carved themselves a little niche as your premier provider of party-time dub-style breaks workouts. After the awesome ‘Low Blow’ and ‘Shinjuku Drop’ by label head Taishan we have been steadily provided with punchy little numbers carefully chosen to fulfill the Resin brief. This is no exception. All swing-time a la ‘Reclaim the Streets’ and ‘Bodyrock’ with slices of ragga vocals and dub stabs. The drop cascades into an interesting cheeky little synth riff that could almost have been extracted from the ‘scary’ bit on a deserted fairground in Scooby Doo! If that’s not for you then the flip ‘Rocka’ should be. A bit more serious but with a ‘music-box’ thing going on as well. In an electro-body-popping stylee fashion. And scratching. Wicky-wicky-wah-wicky-wah-wah-hey! And pitch bent electro synths. It’s all good you know!
