We do like it when tunes like this come around. It’s very easy for producers to get stuck in their ways and stick to their tried and tested formulas. Although known for his prolific output of heavy bass-lead ‘breakstep’, (sorry it’s an old word but you know what we mean), track he manages to every now and then step out of his particular box and throw something else at us. If you are lucky enough to own a copy of his track ‘Egypt’ on Pulse then you’ll know what we’re talking about! Anyway, this particluar track has those crisp snappy drums you’d expect but throws a massive synth bassline under them. It kinda has a techno/electro slant to it but still with the dirty, pokey attitude you want out of a Quest record. Have a listen
