Starting on a positive note, and there are plenty here, is Kraak & Smaak’s brand new single featuring the beautifully soulful vocals of Ben Westbeech with this timely message of hope. The opening piano chords hark back to a certain time when anything seemed possible, although these are inevitably tweaked by a darker edge giving the vocal all the more poignancy. You get the very definite feeling that this will be featuring heavily over the coming months and into the sunshine, perhaps even a future anthem. Remixes begin with Kraak & Smaak’s own version giving the music a punchier definition, while Tom Trago, Crew Futurizm, and Ambassadeurs all stretch the boundaries of the song in differing directions with equally impressive effect. Recommended.
