A second Renaissance compilation for Hernan Cattaneo sees the Argentinian DJ in fine form throughout a pair of moody house sets. Disc one is deep and very cool, minimal in texture but surprisingly funky, as found on the opening ‘Salvation On Slavery Sin’ from Pole Folder. Cattaneo allows the tracks plenty of time to establish themselves, and this works well later for Morel and Innerstate. The second disc is equally good, some hypnotic stuff from Snake Sedrick and Cattaneo himself with ‘Warsaw’, leading through to a big finish from Hybrid via Satoshi Tomiie and Underworld. This is progressive house of a high standard, and marks another good release from Renaissance.
