CROSSTOWN REBELS PRESENTS
REBEL FUTURISM 2 MIXED BY DAMIAN LAZARUS

An excellent second Rebel Futurism session from Damian Lazarus wastes no time in getting down to some seriously twisted electro funk. Although firmly rooted in the electro camp there’s room for some unexpected sounds, such as the trumpeting elephant of Andre Krami’s ‘Safari’ or the weird guitar chords that punctuat Subjekt’s ‘Step Back’. House beats assert themselves for the anthemic Superpitcher track ‘Happiness’, then Lazarus throws a surprise with the Balearic warmth of Ame’s ‘Nia’, brilliantly merged with an accapella of Beanfield’s ‘Tides’. Essential listening!
