Meat Katie has pretty much sussed the idea of fusing tough house beats with breaks, and hits the floor running once again on this mix. Whilst wheeling out tried and tested breaks favourites from Dylan Rhymes and Atomic Hooligan he works in a few crafty touches, most notably when he slips in an Unkle/Ian Brown accapella for Infusion’s ‘Better World’. When the adrenalin rushes later on it’s left to acts from the Lot 49 label to keep things high, and none do it better than Vandal, whose ‘Mad As Hell’ tears up the speakers with a mighty bass. Excellent stuff.
