A native of Switzerland, Manuel Moreno is the sort of producer that the Hive Audio guys turn to when they’re searching for talent that bit closer to home. It’s a good job they do too, as every time he’s perked up on the label he’s done so with great poise and panache, in the process fully justifying his inclusion on one of the modern scene’s best such labels. He doesn’t mess about on his latest either, as he brings the heat straight away on the brilliant ‘I Don’t Sleep at Night’. And if Faithless can’t get no sleep and Moreno can’t sleep at night, there much be something about insomnia that conjures up truly spellbinding electronic works. This track is one to be cherished and is one that’ll suit the more daring DJ thanks to its full-on capabilities especially. Raucous and made for the big room, it’ll envelop it in a way that’s hard not to love. The drums are the first most notable elements, but they’re soon moved to one side in favour of the atmospheric-charged vocal and a whole range of piano keys that lift the track to new planes still. Overall, another exceptional package from the Hive Audio ads.
