Both, Frankfurt resident M.In aka Markus Ferdinand and the man from Göttingen, Andreas Hollerbaum alias Gunman have built a rather heavy reputation of releasing only top quality Tech House grooves with a certain funkiness in the past. So it was no wonder the two label heads (Markus is running the My Favourite Freaks label, Andreas the Rüttelplatten imprint) got together to deliver an EP you shouldn’t miss if you like your beats a bit tuffer.
The title track is a pounding beat heavy old skool House track with a techy edge that flows around nicely until an immense break leads to ‘hands in the air’ moments on any floor. On the remix tip UK’s big hope SEFF turns up the volume with a melodic synth workout that develops into a great crowd pleaser. Nevertheless my personal fave is the mighty ‘Sustain’, which grabs you instantly when the bass drops the first time. Another killer break makes me spin it at each and every gig, and it is quite requested. All in all a superb EP from two men to watch out for!
