The unlikely combination of ‘bassline’ kings Aquasky and the more house flavoured producer Meat Katie has resulted in what could be the tune of the year. ‘Overneath’ takes no prisoners, from the word off it hits with an unstoppable wall of sound, slamming techno led drums married along side an acid soaked bassline and cut up vocal snippets. Bringing on the remix pressure are two very different artists, Australian breaks kingpin Friendly turns in a storming funk workout and D Bridge brings on the drums and the bass. Something for everyone I do believe, this record most definitely needs to be on your shopping list.
