Gilles Peterson has a record collection few could equal, and even has a separate house to keep it in! On one of his visits to this Brownswood basement he managed to extract sixteen gems from this monstrous collection, and he’s come up trumps with some rare R ‘n’ B in the shape of Moses Willard’s ‘Tribute To Wes’, the gorgeous soul of JR Bailey’s ‘Just Me ‘n’ You’ and a few choice Latin cuts from the likes of Lonnie Hewlett, With experimental, funk and rare groove three more of the many styles on offer, Peterson’s reputation will be further enhanced by such a solid and vibrant collection.
