Paul Reynolds
The Cure – Lullaby
A beautiful piece of music that get played at most of my after after parties.
Electribe 101 – Talking With Myself (Canny Mix)
I love this so much nothing beats lying down after a big night out listening to this just sinking into sofa.
Goapele – Play
Oooo that voice and the bass just floor me every time there is nothing not to love about this.
Ben Santiago
Youandewan – 1988 (Original Mix)
Incredible blissed out journey. Pass the skins please my friend…
The Beloved – The Sun Rishing
This track really epitomes the Balearic spirit. The title and lyrics probably couldn’t be more fitting for a ‘back to mine’ session either!
Moderat – Bad Kingdom
Emotional as f**k. This is exactly the sort of record that I love but unfortunately cannot play in a set.
Corbi
Rhythim is Rhythim – Kaotic Harmony
For me one of the most beautiful emotional and futuristic pieces of electronic music ever made. Absolute magic from the master Derrick May.
Tic Tac Toe – Ephemerol
I’m a huge hardcore fan, and with so many great tracks from that time it’s hard to pick one. But Ephemerol has it all, firing beats, dark ambience and that bass!!! Goosebumps every time
Gravediggaz – 1-800 Suicide
An album I can kick back and listen to on its entirety, certainly in my top 5 hip hop tracks of all time.
Scott Gray
José Feliciano – California Dreamin’
This cover of The Mamas and Papas classic, recorded in 1968 is an absolute pearl. Bobby Womack’s 1970 version is equally brilliant however Jose’s version has incredible energy, especially his scatting and free styling in Spanish towards the end.
Cody ChestnuTT – Do Better To The Young
Modern soul at it’s absolute best from the man that sang on The Roots’ The Seed. This Marvin Gaye inspired beauty, sings about the innocence and opportunities of newborns.
Marcia Griffiths – The First Time I Saw Your Face
What’s not to love about this incredibly tender version from 1969. Although covered dozens of times by the likes of Johny Cash, George Michael and tons more, this version is the most moving. Marcia’s perfect angelic voice and a deep reggae bass line, equals perfection.
