It’s the unusual sample touches and musical counterparts which elevate Allan’s four-tracker above the hordes of booming techno fry-ups. ‘Integra’ starts with a galloping Stay Up Forever groove which is then joined by a corruscating electro sequence. ‘Don’t Go Too Long’ is a riot of skyrocketing riffs and fx perfectly topped with a ghostly female vocal loop. ‘Old hardcore and latin bites pepper the loop-centric ‘Delirium’ while the closing ‘Xoler’ is pure technoid percolation. All delivered with effective sonic acrobatics.
