This is the first in a series of 3 double A sided singles from this artist and the label tell me they will not be labelling up the vinyl with ‘A’ or ‘AA’ to further make their point! ‘Dis Da Rasta’ is a tough, vocal, breakbeat workout complete with trumpeting, swirling, synths that slither through the track injecting an element of P Funk combined with the full-on attitude of the mc vocal and a tough kick and snare combo to make this track ooze faaatness and total sex appeal but still keep a hard edge for the dance floor. Oh and watch out for that breakdown! ‘Touchdown’ takes things in a far more techier direction injecting you with a hit of synthetic reminiscence taking you on a driving, heads down, deep journey.
