MÖW has been honing his unique Afro House sound for almost a decade and always with an organic quality that has stood him apart. He mixes up an array of world sounds with modern electronic sounds and his own unique touch whether making lush downtempo or more club-ready deep house. He has played plenty of the world’s best clubs and festivals and his music is never far away from the tastemaking record bags of top-tier DJs. As his five track ‘Mwenda’ EP lands on Connected, DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with MÖW.
MoBlack, Salif Keita, Benja (NL) – Yamore ft. Cesária Evora, Franc Fala – Decca Records
One of the best Afro house tracks so far. The vocal takes you to another universe along with the pads, very minimal and straight to the point; a groovy bassline, unique production, hypnotic rhythms and very emotional. Everybody loves to listen to it whether they like electronic music or not; a must have track on everyone’s playlist.
HUGEL ft. Tóto La Momposina – La Verdolaga – Defected
Another HUGEL hit, a great Latin Afro House track, amazing vocals dripping in the culture, the reese bassline is very unique and groovy along with very cool drums.
Kurd Maverick & Nodus – Rakkas – Make The Girls Dance Records
In love with the vibes here, mizmar sounds very nice and unique, the bassline makes it a straight to the dance floor track.
Nitefreak & Emmanuel Jal – Gorah – Higher Ground
Nitefreak brings another spectacular track with amazing Emmanuel Jal vocals, I believe that what makes this track unique is the groovy synth.
Ah Ya Albi (Ajna (BE), Samm (BE) Edit) – Magnifik Music
This track brings the nostalgic Egyptian vibes as Hakim is one of the 90’s pop music scene leaders. Astonished how the artists blend the vocals and melodies into Afro house beats, even if you don’t understand the lyrics it stays a perfect track to dance to. P.S: I’m personally in love with the art work!
Pablo Fierro – Koroka – We’re Here
Once I listened to this track I knew who the artist is, as you can feel Pablo Fierro’s unique fingerprint in all his productions, very groovy and true Afro house vibes with amazing vocals.
Sébastien Léger, Roy Rosenfeld – Panko Day – Lost Miracle
Released 2 months ago and stays on the charts, as usual from the Sebastien Leger who always climb the charts once he releases a track. Very emotional melodies that make you sway all along the track, you put on a loop and keep listening to it all day, the hook melodies stays in your mind.
Eran Hersh, Mili, Dimo (BG) – Al Hawa – Make The Girls Dance
Once I listened to this track before it was released I sent it to Dimo applauding, as I knew this one was going be a long time hit. The artists blend the vocals in a very nice way in and out the groove making it a very cool track to dance to.
Diass & Dimo BG – Shaka Laka – Katun
It’s always great to listen to this, as my amazing friend and one of my favourite producers Diass collaborates with Dimo to amaze us with this beautiful track. I can personally feel the finger print of each of them as I always have their tracks on my playlist, this track hits the dance floor like no other, and keeps you dancing all the way till the end.
P.S: Hold on before the drop!
Antdot, Maz, Letícia Fialho – Corpo e Canção – Dawn Patrol Records
Another Maz & Antdot gem. Uplifting vibes and vocals from Letícia Fialho, very groovy, unique drums, dreamy melodies, pads and piano.
