BKR is DJ Marcelo K2 [aka the Pusher], who’s built a fierce reputation with his worldwide deck assaults. Turning his attention to the studio, he throws up the bulldozing thunder-groove of ‘Ultracompress’ which decides to introduce a hoary old 70s rock riff conjuring some kind of techno Sabbaff! Allan Banford’s mix is more atmospheric and direct, still retains the axe, while the Celtic Twin go for the tribal stomp approach. Bonus track ‘Break it Down’ hauls out some big beats.
