Following last year’s belters like ‘When I was A Yout’ and ‘Love Your Life’, Ed and co are about to release their debut album, Random Acts Of Kindness. This should more than stoke up further anticipation, welding King Tubby’s ‘Leaving Babylon’ with a sympathetic [not too overbearing] breakscape and the usual squirty riffs to atmospheric effect. The flip’s ‘Believe In The Funk’ vocoders a P-Funk-style hook over funky breaks and bleeps. Look forward to the album.
