Tam has already forged a name in breaks as part of Precision Cuts and now moves effortlessly into cutting edge techno with a subtly-building belter which obviously gave its pair of remixers plenty to kick around. The main riff in the driving seat actually resembles one of those 90s Goa-techno motifs but swelling strings and washing sonics build another mood altogether. Jamie ‘Jimpster’ Odell’s treatment seems to hike the top riff from ‘French Kiss’ along with a funky bassline and heads for the intergalactic space disco. Exercise One then takes it away into near-Orb regions with unearthly drifting ambience and Jagz Koonerish percussion punctuation. It completes an all-round mighty package.
