Since The Libertines spear headed a Clash revival a few years back, there’s been a few bands come through on that vibe, but none that do it as well as the aforementioned, and Sheffield four piece Harrisons, who have delivered a storming debut album, adding their own touch of its grim up north. ‘No Fighting In The War Room’ opens with the single’ Constable’, a rocking pogo disco anthem that gets us off to a great start.’Man Of The Hour’ ups the ante, charging in on speed enhanced drums & guitar riffs.’Wishing Well’ has got a certain mod feel about it, giving off suited swagger attitude which works a treat.’Mondays Arms’ is another hip swinging club mosh anthem, and”’Simmer Away’ has got northern song written all over it, bringing shades of The Verve & Doves to mind. In fact Harrisons bring quite a number of bands to mind, but that’s not a bad thing coz they’re all great bands. ‘No Fighting In The War Room’ is the debut of the year so far. Harrisons are destined for big things.
