OrtzRoka’s “T2” single tweaked all the right places, a good balance between exploratory moods for the astral planes and more attuned acidic wig-outs, a path down which “Bulb Fuel” continues. The title track works lots of minor chords and subtle shifts into an impressive mood builder, as sleek and shiny as anything coming out of Detroit. “Lo Fuel” is a pleasant meander down the alley ways of mid-90’s electronica, whilst “Bird Flew” bares an uncanny resemblance to KLF’s “What Time Is Love” – generally a good thing. Remixes come from Rui Da Silva – a strong tribal-techier number that’ll work those larger speakers; The New Yorker makes superb use of the original hook over some percussive techno beats; whereas Osamu M & Satoshi Fumi take it across to the house floor with a dreamy electronic re-rub.
