Unassuming but incredibly engaging cut-up styled instrumental of various 80’s influences that manages to glide between Miami Vice-lite pop, Kenny G styled jazz-funk, NY rap, boogie, etc. It’s ability to hold it all together in some kind of loose limbed floppy groove without even seeming to try is mind boggling. Alavi Rerox adds a taut remix that gives it extra fire power but loses a little of it’s charm in the process. “Minuit Jacuzzi” offers a p-funk heavy variant on the same format, and sports plenty of Daft Punk styled vocoder action and cheesy grin inducing keyboard sounds, probably more energetic than the lead cut. DatA stamp the life out of this track with a pointlessly heavy handed remix. Seriously, this is really really good – easy to see why Tepr is proving a huge hit with the likes of Erol Alkan, Pharell Williams, Justice, etc.
