INNER THOUGHTS
FINE ART

Not content with cooking up some delicious electronic recipes with Phil
Quenum and doing it by himself, Lee Van Dowski now hitches up with fellow
Genevan and Weetamix club resident Tsack with fairly bollock-blasting
results. ‘Asem’ hinges on a pendulous, hectic hippo-testicle bassline,
creating a contagious forward propulsion over which dramatic riffs uncurl
like a tramp’s fart, but there’s also elements of 90s German trouser action.
The solo ‘Vreq’ is a lengthy, relentless squelch-locomotive with distant
effects and underlying intricacies which have come to characterise Lee’s
work. No stopping the bloke!
