Ireland’s Nice & Nasty operation has been operating for 15 years as one of the world’s greatest techno clubs while also running a selective record label. To celebrate its tenth release and move into online release the label is releasing a twelve-inch plus limited CD while both these fine artists have new EPs online only [Bah!]. Even if the method of release is bowing to modern facelessness, the music is a brilliantly vibrant take on classic techno, particularly of the Motor City variety. But they don’t just have a knack for euphoric UR-style riffs and other-worldy textures, the grooves are tough and often funkier than most. Octogen’s remix of ‘My Love’ is sublime.
