Hailing from Hollis, Queens, Abe is a prolific and respected producer who can be relied on for classy techno with a twist. As Kirlian he debuted on Munich’s Disko B before hitching up with Gigolos, releasing the So Underground It Hurts album in 2004 and mixing the American Gigolos set last year. His recent When The Fever Breaks album has gone down a storm and this single plucks off two highlights for the extended treatment with delicious results. ‘Following Conditions’ is a tough, quirky outing, littered with squelching and splashy effects. ‘Outlook’ is deadly, deep as you like with pads, alien frequencies and wanking-Sweep flatline riff. Killer touch is the entry of the xylophone, which adds extra jazzy dimension.
