It’s a bonzo week for techno, also highlighted by this ripping maiden voyage for the Breakout Audio label from Darius Syrossan, the Leeds’ Tribal Sessions resident who’s also appeared as Persica and Rolasoul. ‘Diesel Burn’ is proper acid house, deep and twitchy drenched in booming bass resonance. The Audiojack remix is predictably deadly in an acid minimal way complete with robo-orgasm while the Mundyke version from Alex Mundy of Leeds’ Sunday Roast parties comes as a delicious, gravy-on-the-genitals surprise: bassed-up, chunky and lashed in alien drones with percussion that means business. An all-round killer package which bodes brilliantly for the future.
