Rick Smith & Karl Hyde are keeping the Underworld well and truly glowing on
a global scale. “Beautiful Burnout” part glides and part jostles it’s way
in, before opening up into a bleak but dazzling distant future, offset with
complicated rhythms and Karl Hyde coming over like he’s just done a stint in
Bladerunner. On the remix front Mark Knight goes for a “French Kiss” vibe,
while Pig & Dan take the dark & long techno route. “Beautiful Burnout” is
lifted from Underworld’s fifth album “Oblivion With Bells”, which is being
heralded as their best since “Dubnobasswithmyheadman”. Tiefschwartz and
