There’s a steady stream of subtly-insidious singles emanating from the direction of Ellen Allien’s Bpitch Control at the moment. Recently we’ve had Dusty Kid and Kiki both maintaining their esteemed profiles and now Mr Klock strikes with two haunted sneakers. October operates over a kind of weird, electronic strut whacked on the bottom by crashing claps while fielding spiralling organ ghosts. ‘Similarity’ is fractured, broken and clonky, propelled by muted acid. Ellen’s done a Boogiebytes mix too, which is startling [and should be around here somewhere].
