It says a lot for how far Anjunabeats has come in one hundred releases that we’re talking about them as candidates to be Britain’s premier trance label. They achieve this through a very economical use of the cheese slicer, making trance music with genuine feeling as well as a razor sharp riff or beat. The hundredth release doesn’t feature anything new, but is packed full of the tunes that have brought them this far – so that means Above & Beyond themselves, Cara Dillon, OceanLab’s superb ‘Satellite’ and ‘Beautiful Together’ and Jono Grant vs Mike Koglin in ‘Circuits’. No frills and a cracking line-up – here’s to the next hundred, boys!
