Thomas finally follows his ‘Red Purple’ EP on his own label with with a subtle, shuffling growler which marries minimal sparks with old school house touches over a tribal groove of the sort popular on mid-90s New York dancefloors. Then Stephen Beaupre of Musique Risquee goes for a denser future-funk treatment, littered with grunts and the faithfull belching plughole effect before Skat homes in on the tribal aspects with bells and vocal exclamation loop. Possibly the best remix comes from newcomers Khord, boosting the deepness factor via cool organ and strings stroking the original melody.
