You wouldn’t expect a Simian Mobile Disco mix to be devoid of incident, and so it proves with their first Fabric contribution. It’s a hugely eclectic stomp through bits of classical (the opening ‘Infernal Dance’). slightly weird electronica (Moon Dog and Fine Cut Bodies) and no holds barred anthems – Green Velvet’s ‘Flash’ an unashamedly crowd pleasing ending. On the way there are insights from Shit Robot, Metro Area, Deadmau5 and Paul Woolford – those names alone showing just how varied the boys’ taste is. By keeping their hyperactive musical personalities to the fore, Simian Mobile Disco ensure their listeners stay turned on.
