In which Oliver Koletzki celebrates three years of his label Stil Vor Talent which has seen 23 EPs, endless parties and an artist album. These two CDs feature Oliver and roster main man Florian Meindl each presenting a selection: the former handling the present and future with tracks licensed for the compilation while Florian mixes up 16 highlights from the label’s past three years. Oliver presents faves like Channel X, Kai Kurve and Format B while introducing new names like Zurich’s Animaltrainer – who impress with the swelling ‘Real Ghetto Tray’ – David Keno [whose sublime ‘Adore’ builds to a gonad-grabbing electronic roar], Norman Weber and Mickey Monzza & Joseph Disco. The music is deep, minimal and subtly mischievous and, maybe unwittingly, Oliver contributes the real highlight with his ‘Since You Are Gone’, all melodic chords and chunky groove testicles. Meanwhile, Floriankicks off with his first single for the label, the electro-tinged ‘Sputnik’ before winding through names including Channel X, Johnjohn, Format B plus Oliver’s teamup with Kiki which produced the deadly ‘Don’t Forget To Go Home’. Minimal patter with a debt to ‘French Kiss’, space debris wafting by, ending with the label’s maiden voyage: Oliver’s ‘Blackout’. A happening label, scene and roster which deserves investigation and support.
