Regular readers may possibly be quite bored of the constant salivating over the relentless barrage of electronic gems spurting forth from this man throughout 2008. Each of the singles – ‘Coming Up’, the spectacular ‘Ocean Trench’, ‘New Dawn’, ‘Below Minus’ – has been different but distinguished by their ability to smoke dancefloors with both original versions and an incendiary array of remixers. This latest missive maintains the quality level, changing styles yet again to mutate a dry, Glitter Band strut with bendy noises and huge dollops of bass. Renowned Berlin-based producer Dirk Leyers is on remix duty this time and turns in a belter, boosting the queasy efx, throwing in deadly meteor shower drop before a lengthy stretch of cosmic dust-pelted tech-grooving. In fact, it’s a bit of an epic! So chalk up another winner to Mr Hobbs.
