Minus are always full of surprises but Autumn – the second album from Troy Pierce and Gibby Miller’s Louderbach – project pushes minimal techno into areas it’s not yet known by, putting it too simply, mating with the dark soul of Joy Division via the dark textures and the latter’s cracked, vulnerable vocals. Full review to follow but meanwhile here’s the atmospheric ‘Shine’ treated to a diverse array of ultra-sympathetic remixes. The twelve kicks off with a floor-strafing bass-propelled twister from Alexi Delano before Thrill Cosby [aka Seth Troxler] hots things up with deep electronic quivers and bolts of noise. Mike Bryant conjures a ghostly take on the song’s charred skeleton while JPLS turns in one of his best yet with typically-shadowy throbber shot with a dash of disco fever.
