The ‘Godfather of breaks’, (I bet he harbours a slight dislike of being labelled with that, what with he expectations it brings!), delivers yet another excursion into his beloved breaks, embellished with the funk you’d expect, and polishing it with the dirty drizzle of many synthesized audio contortions. Slipping effortlessly between light funk and filthy, sticky-dancefloor sleaze, it’s Rennie’s own friction mix that is probably the one that’s going to be putting in most hours here, and shows why he may just deserve to be the ‘made’ man he is!
