If you prefer your house music to have a sharper edge to it, then you’ll get more out of Cream’s triple header than most. These upfront productions are loud, cutting and often brash – so if you’re a fan of subtlety you won’t get that much here. Given the package is about ‘Future Electro’ it seems a bit odd to have a third mix that concentrates on past achievements, though as it turns out this has the best music in remixes by Trentemoller, Jacques Lu Cont, Tiga and Mylo. The synth lines in the other two mixes grate after a while, and there are a few turkeys – not least the Utah Saints remix of Deekline’s ‘I Don’t Smoke’ – but if electro house is your bag, then this represents solid value for money.
