House music originators TRAX Records are back with ‘TRAX Mission’ – a special 20-track compilation featuring a series of cutting –edge producers, handpicked by label boss Screamin’ Rachael and head A&R Carmelo Carone, from around the world.

TRAX’s unrivalled legacy in house music has been told the world over, but this album underlines its on-going mission, to look forwards, as it unearths and supports a diverse range of new talent with artists from Italy, South Africa, Spain, Germany, the UK, Netherlands, Mexico, Russia, France and beyond.

Inspired by the global nature of the album and from the hundreds of promos that help create his Saturday night ‘Trax Mission’ show on NYC House Radio, Carmelo Carone has compiled a special Trainspotting for us. Read on to find out what house tracks from around the world are rocking his sets.

1. Carmelo Carone Feat Screamin’ Rachael – Shine Pop Radio Edit (Italy and USA)

This song with production from myself featuring Screamin’ Rachael set the mood for developing the new TRAX album, TRAX Mission. Its soundtrack surrounds the essence of house music, combining pop and dance elements, with an innovative structure. All supported by Rachael’s expressive voice!

2. Sonny Francini – Show Me Love (Italy)

This is probably a new jackin house-anthem. It has a rhythm that drives like a train and overwhelms with the old skool essence – a real house track as it should be!

3. Leandro Silva – Aural (Angola)

A masterpiece that takes the listener through a wonderful journey. It represents my favourite style, ‘urban deep’.

4. Joel Kehren – Real Love (Germany)

A great gem from the urban deep sound, which I’m playing in my current DJ sets.

5. Darren Studholme – Jazz Acid (Cyprus)

Trax records is the label that experiments and innovates and this track by Cypriot artist, Darren Studholme, is a perfect example of this. He’s a professional musician with knowledge in composition and technique, and who combines jazz, fusion and acid house – the result is emblematic!

6. Lukas Lyrestam – Can’t Cry (Sweden)

An amazing line with continuous rhythm – this one just keeps giving!

7. The Glitz – Dirty Bride (Germany)

A massive, urban sub-tech missile with a tasty overall, underground ambience.

8. Joyfull Family – Lost Pleasures (Italy)

A gorgeous, vocal piano house line, really cool stuff!

9. Death On The Balcony – Through The Wilderness (UK)

Close your eyes and slip away with the tribal and addictive rhythm, while rising sound and atmospheres project you into parallel dimensions.

10. Carmelo Carone – Chicago (Italy)

This track represents all my love and soul for house music. It captures my being in the essence of jackin, acid clubbing music, and represents what has been the significant sound of my artistic career, and also obviously that of TRAX Records!
