Marshal Jefferson – Move Your Body
Marshal Jefferson needs to be on everyone’s list of people to see before you die, one of the innovators and creators of Electronic music… Still getting out there, still doing the business and his recording of Move Your Body is still current 26 years on!

Phuture – Acid Tracks
Old Skool Acid House signifies an entire generation of rebellion, people threw themselves in to its culture to avoid the generics of Monday to Friday and to end the endurance of the mid-week blues.
Phuture made waves with Acid Tracks when it was released – The 303 sound was so infectious it helped to shape the future of dance music for years to come and influenced some of electronic music’s most popular artisits.

Adamski – Killer
How can you not love this track, its the perfect pop record!

Jesse Saunders – On and On
From an artistic and a critical point of view Jesse Saunders, On and On was a revolutionary master piece of creativity, an intellectual arrangement of drum loops and synthesised sounds that some believe form the very first House recording. From a dance floor point of view, it’s a novel and unique classic and from our point of view it’s a great track to lose your sh1t too.

Doug Lazy – Let It Roll
Doug is one of the more credible hip-house producers from back in the day, his sound is still as smooth as ever.

Inner City – Pennies From Heaven
With so many all-out classics it’s difficult to pick one Inner City track. Big Fun is a massive sampling monster and Good Life is a commercial radio classic that carries weight on the way home from work or in a dirty dark underground club. We did manage to narrow it down and decided to go for Pennies From Heaven as a personal favourite probably because the chords are huge, the vocals are incredibly uplifting and the beat is so moreish.

Ralphi Rosario – You Used To Hold Me (Kenny’s Mix)
A house anthem, slow burning and sexy just the way we like it. This track popped many a house virgin’s cherry!

Kerri Chandler – Mommy Whats a Record
This record was distributed with the note “Records are forever held on to, files are not.” Kerri’s the man.

The Knife – Heartbeats
The Knife – Heartbeats is a melancholic yet uplifting, emo, indie disco classic! It’s just such an incredible record, it’s refined and perfect in every sense. Perhaps not fitting for our dance floors but back at ours for a bit of slow dancing, head nodding and even morning after treatment there is no better track.

95 North – Let yourself Go
This is old skool house at its best, screaming chords and heavy percussion, this is an ass shaker!

Jack Fell Down
Either Way EP
(Southern Fried Records)

Production duo Jack Fell Down return with a stunning new EP on Southern Fried Records featuring
four tracks of deep and delectable house music…
Jack Fell Down burst on to the UK music scene earlier this year, with their stellar debut EP dropping on
Fatboy Slim’s highly respected Southern Fried imprint. Hype had been building around this anonymous Irish
duo for sometime thanks to a limited 12” bootleg that did the rounds and a number of free downloads that
were made available to wet the musical appetite. On release, the ‘Anyway’ EP was an instant hit for Jack Fell
Down with its 90’s influenced house sound capturing the imagination of the record buying public. Added to
this, Radio 1’s Jaymo & Andy George chose to open their critically acclaimed Moda Black compilation with the
awesome Jack Fell Down cut ‘Night Crawler’ and hence began their story.
Now the JFD boys are back with a brand new EP that is set to further spread the word on their unique
approach to deep and emotive house music. The ‘Either Way EP’ is built from four brand new recordings and
kicks off with ‘King of Clubs’, a deeply hypnotic and sensual slice of house music that fuses 909 drum
patterns and old school vocal licks with warm bass and keys. Second of the four cuts see the boys team up
with vocalist Emma Rossi for ‘Ease in to Me’, a wonderfully stripped house workout with a distinct garage
influence to it, quality stuff.
Penultimate track ‘Roll Over’ sees Jack Fell Down venture into bass drenched house territory with a record
that marries the emotion of old school house with the taught production of style of 2012. Finally Emma Rossi
rejoins the party for the excellent closer ‘Need in You’, a track that once again brings the garage vibe to the
fore in perfect style, sublime.
Southern Fried Records have been cutting right to the heart of underground electronic music of late, with
singles from the likes of Chicken Lips and Luca C & Brigante demonstrating their commitment to quality house
and nu-disco. With Jack Fell Down it’s clear the label have another act that is capable of having a major
influence on dance music and with this latest EP the duo have once again cemented their position as one to
