Swedish DJ and Producer Ken Bauer has had an enriched and decorated career as he drew inspiration from genres such as Big Room, Electro, Future and Progressive House to develop his signature sound that saw the dance scene flock to his talents. His discography includes hits such as ‘Plastic Luv’, and more recently ‘Till U Speak’, ‘Pill Of Love’ and ‘Lone’. We caught up with Ken to find out his top 10 go-to tunes…

This track got me hooked to instrumental music and is one of my all-time favourites.

N-Trance – Set You Free

This is literally one of the tracks I listened to the most during my youth. I fell in love with the vocal and the nice M1 Piano arps.

Robert Miles – Children

There is a popular remix out now by Tinlicker. I think this proves that even a song without vocals can tell a beautiful story and move you.

The Popcorn Makers – Popcorn

This synth hook is just amazing. I have always wanted to make my own instrumental cover. Time will tell if I ever get around doing it.

Kavinsky – Nightcall

I heard it in the movie Drive and fell in love with the dark vocal and the dreamy lush female chorus and instantly searched for it on Spotify. I still listen to it on a regular basis.

Flying Pickets – Only You

This is a reminder that you don’t need any expensive equipment to make a #1 hit track. Only your mouth.

Gypsy & the Cat – Parallel Universe

I just love the dreamy piano chord progression and overall vibe in this one. So glad I stumbled across this one.

Red Carpet – Allright – Brad Carter Remix

The piano chord progression in the breakdown is just breathtaking and still gives me goosebumps. Playing this in a club with powerful speakers still works wonders.
